Rental Terms & Conditions

 The Rental Duration:

The Rental Duration is the total time the vehicle spends in the custody of the customer. The rental duration is calculated starting from the time the vehicle is made available until it arrives back to the company. However a 30 minutes grace period is applied at the end of the rental before the start of a new 24 hour period.  

The allowed over-limit time is 60 minutes (the Client should inform us of being late prior). In case of late return of the Vehicle more then 1 hour, the Lessee shall pay a penalty in the amount of one day rental cost. 

Extension of the original duration of the rental:

In case the customer choices to keep the vehicle for a longer period than mentioned in the rental agreement it will then be approved or rejected depending on the availability and the customer should request an extension of the rental period. The customer should communicate with Maadi Car representatives  72 hours before the start of the extension period to check the availability. 

Traffic Violation:

During the rental period the customer is fully liable to the vehicle accordingly if any traffic violation occurs during the rental period, Maadi Car has the right to notify and claim the cost of that violation.

Restriction of Use:

Vehicle must not be used under any of the following conditions or for any of the following purposes; otherwise customer will take full responsibility for all charges set:

•Driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other type of narcotic substances.

•Transportation of inflammable or dangerous goods, as well as toxic, corrosive, radioactive or other harmful substances.

•Transportation of any kind of pets (subject to prior authorization by Maadi Car).

•To carry more passengers than the car has seat belts to carry .

•With a roof rack, luggage carrier or similar, unless supplied by Maadi Car.

•Pushing or towing another vehicle or exceeding the authorized load weight.                    

•Travelling on non-paved roads or on roads, beaches, the surface or state of repair of which could put the vehicle's wheels, tires or it’s under body mechanics at risk, any goods and baggage carried in the vehicle, including their packing and stowage equipment, which might damage the vehicle or put the vehicles abnormally at risk.(In any way which breaks the Highway Code, road traffic laws or any other laws).

•Not legible to travel with the vehicles across international borders .

• Smoking inside the rented Vehicle is strictly prohibited including the use of e-cigarettes, a penalty of 200 EGP is charged if you returned the vehicle and it smells or is soiled from smoke or e-cigarette vapor.

 Car tidiness & Fueling:   

• In case the client return the Vehicle dirty, there are charges under the Agreement:

• Slightly contamination of the interior and exterior (crumbs, or other impurities removed with a vacuum cleaner) 100 EGP.
• Heavy contamination of the interior and exterior 350 EGP.

•The client will receive a car with a full tank and have to be returned with full tank.  If the Vehicle is returned with less fuel than stated in the Agreement, the client shall compensate the company for the cost of the lacking fuel at the rate of 15 EGP/liter.
